Management of Crown and Root Rot Caused by Rhizoctonia solani in Acid Lime (Citrus aurantifolia) under Screen House Conditions in Kirtipur, Kathmandu

Crown and root rot disease was among the major problems in acid lime (Citrus aurantifolia) seedlings grown nursery of Warm Temperate Horticulture Centre, Kirtipur, Nepal. Samples diseased plants were investigated at laboratory Nepal Plant Disease Agro Associates. Rhizoctonia solani, Fusarium solani Alternaria citri found associated with samples. On pathogenicity testing R. showed symptoms like those infected seedlings. Hence, a pot experiment conducted completely randomized design four replications to manage disease. Acid sterilized soil inoculum prepared potato dextrose agar (PDA) used for experiment. The treatments included carbendazim 50WP @ 1000 ppm, Trichoderma viride 2 ml/l water, Pseudomonas fluorescens A-arya 009 (essential oil organic acids) 1 control (water) which applied by drenching before 15 days pathogen inoculation. Carbendazim 100 200 ppm also evaluated against poison food technique on PDA. In culture, effect significant growth shoot both incidence severity. had significantly least (43.75%) severity (18.75%) 45 after inoculation pathogen. Also, fungicide gave complete inhibition PDA culture. could be suggested management citrus crown caused solani. However, further study is required find out appropriate concentration effective
